Rated 5 out of 5 by Just a nice little phone This phone is for my husband (58) who doesn't text. It took some time to set up 1touch dialing, individual ringtones w/sd card, and speaker phone got disabled while programming,so I master reset phone and made sure not to turn on/off anything. After that, everything seams to be working. Also I have a T-mobile plan so no prepaid for me. For the price, you can't beat it. August 14, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a good product. I've had my phone for a year. I paid the full amount and I'm too cheap to ditch this one so I'm stuck. I just wanted a flip phone and there were no other choices at the store. The instruction booklet is minimalist, to say the least. The battery is fine, no complaints there. As for stated features, where is the GPS? Nonexistent. I don't text so I can't address that issue. I can say that when I call the voice mail center I have to hit the numbers twice before they enter. The sound level is fine but the speaker leaves a lot to be desired for clarity. I find myself asking the caller to repeat themselves which is very annoying to both parties. The fact that the speaker is in the back of the phone makes it awkward to hold and listen. If you want a good, basic flip phone, this is not it. August 7, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Works good after getthing used to, Had problems at first getting used to a new phone. After I rebooted once , it works fine for now. Only need it for talk and some texting so works for that. Once you understand how the texting works it is great. August 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by worst phone ever Drops calls, no battery life, sound quality is bad, randomly shuts down. I was issued this phone by the company I work for, so I'm forced to use this garbage. Most times I do not receive messages, miss phone calls. I understand why some people prefer flip phones, but this is several steps backwards from previous version. July 11, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Flip Phone For Talking I gave up the Samsung Dart, my first Smart phone, for this flip phone. The Smart phone had all sorts of problems. This one has none. It's perfect for someone who wants to TALK, not text. You can text with it, but it takes too much time with this phone. I'll be going back to a Smart phone soon, because I have clients who want to text. But I recommend this phone to anyone who doesn't need the features of a Smart phone, and does little or no texting. Rated 1 out of 5 by The battery wears down within 12 hours of charging I got one of these phones and sent it back to get another because the battery went dead within 12 hours of being fully charged. Well, needless to say the second phone did the same thing. It is basically no good. We went back to my old phone at least that stays charged for 3 days verses 12 hours. March 31, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not well designed and user interface is confusing As far as software goes, this phone does not have a user friendly interface. It's very hard to navigate. As far as build quality, the buttons are hard to press. They sit very flush with the device and it's not unusual to hit the wrong key. The front cover is also made of a glossy material that scratches very easily. Call quality is average, but hampered by the poor volume through the earpiece. The speakerphone feature on mine does not work, compounding on the bad experience. Overall, I would not recommend this phone because for the price there are a lot better phones out there. Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on T-Mobile.com, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
