Rated 5 out of 5 by I like this phone. I'm getting surprised by new features that show up. The finger print scanner no issues. I had a Sony Z, prior to this. Camera seems easy to use with plenty of options. I like that i can increase the text sure in contacts. Don't have to worry about having my glasses handy. Glasses I got this phone, with just program. I'll come back in a month and leave an update. April 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Impressed at all I upgraded from S3 to S5. When i got the phone, i was really excited. The picture quality is awesome. I do love that part. The real issue i have with the phone. When i talk to someone on the phone, it cuts in and out. I talk a lot on the phone and use speaker portion of the phone more than the actual phone when i talk to someone. The speaker on this phone is not great, especially this being samsung product. It pops everytime someone speaks or if i call someone else put the phone on speaker it makes a popping noise and static sound. I would not recommend. I have a few friends that just got the S5 and have the same problem. Texting is very sensitive, not impressed. April 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I don't know why everyone is looking for a metal build. If you've had one you'll find out they are heavy, slippery and cold to the touch. I'm glad Samsung stayed plastic. This is my third Samsung and I love it as much as the others. I don't have to relearn a new UI and I still get a different appearance. This phone is fast and sweet. Not to mention the LTE speeds are ridiculously fast. If you love your Samsung S 3 or 4. This is worth the upgrade. April 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Major Improvement from My Old Galaxy SII I've had the phone for a week and am loving it. Upgraded from Galaxy SII, and the S5 is a major improvement. I'm really impressed with its battery life. I can go all day without recharging, something that was never possible on the SII. I'm new to T-Mobile and have found the network to be really fast and available throughout my area. Customer service has been excellent, something of a rarity these days in the cell phone industry. You can't go wrong with this phone. April 14, 2014

In most cases, the answer is yes. The first step is to check your phone to see if it’s compatible, and to find out what SIM card it uses. Then, you’ll simply select that SIM card and a plan. Once you receive your new SIM card in the mail, you’ll be ready to go.

You may pay off the full cost of your phone (and any other devices included in your Equipment Installment Plan) early. If you do, you’ll enjoy monthly savings even sooner. To pay off your phone, you will need to call Customer Care or visit a T-Mobile retail store.

To upgrade early, you’ll need to pay off your entire Equipment Installment Plan. You can do this by calling Customer Care or visiting a T-Mobile retail store.

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order; 30 days in California.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
