Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic phone, exceptional display I tried several phones before "settling" for the S5. Since I had owned the S2 and S3 I thought I'd try other than a Samsung product. So I bought the iPhone 6 and returned it because the operating system was a hindrance. I then tried the Nexus 5 and returned it because a "pure" Android operating system is not necessarily a good thing. I wound up back in the t-mobile store, perusing phones. Wandered over to the S5 and fell in love! The crisp, clear, vibrant screen won me over. I've had the phone now for 2 weeks and I still love it. Battery life is exceptional for a smart phone with a 5.1 inch screen. Great all-around phone that I highly recommend. November 20, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A phone that I wanted to like so much I switched from verizon to t-mobile and went with the Samsung S5, never owned a Samsung before but my family had the S3's and loved them. At first everything was great, phone worked like a champ, than starting a month later my love for my S5 went to hate for one little and very annoying reason.......the rebooting of it's self!!! Doesn't matter if it's on the charger charging or just next to me on the table, 2-3 times a week it will just restart on it's own, and I have tried everything from Google searches to solve this issue, I have factory restored the phone, cleared the phones cache, pulled the battery for a hard reboot, nothing helps and the only real answer I get from support is to get a new (refurbished, JUMP warranty) phone, which I don't want to do. I hate to complain about this phone because it has great features, an awesome screen, great phone quality with the HD calling, touchwiz is awesome (even though people hate on it), but I just can't recommend it because of the rebooting issuse, it's very annoying and I wish a fix would happen soon. Rated 4 out of 5 by Not "Perfect" but fits my needs perfectly. I got mine a week after release and so far the only issues have been the US has moved some things to places unknown, and that nice big screen is both fragile and possibly heat sensitive. Mine cracked after 3 days as it sat on the table beside me. Cost me $175 deductible but what can I say. The second one has run 6 months now without issue. Fast, and once you get used to the changes over android 2.2, easy to work with. I love the built in TV remote. My wife... not so much. The screen is big and crystal clear, and it seams that Samsung and T mobile have gone easy on the bloatwear. The camera and in phone editing s/W work great, including HDR Mode and the video mode a lows for panorama, virtual tour, slow and time laps. It may be a little slow at times but it has not been an issue. Lastly the new gps seems to be much better on reduced power and accuracy Overall quite happy with this, especially compared to the s2 it replaced! November 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by I would not buy again On my second one with Tmobile. Returned the first one because the charging port stopped working. Now, the replacement they sent me keeps rebooting randomly. The USB port cover is a horrible annoying feature. Phone is no where worth what I paid. Save your money and move on. November 18, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by It's cool . It's a good phone and all but just like any other phone , after a while it starts to freeze , skip , and go slow . It's very slippery too . The front camera isn't as great as the back camera when indoors. November 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good could could be better Hello, About the Samsung Galaxy S5 I can say that is a good phone and in comparison with iphone it is almost like iphone 5S from the performance point of view .It offers good internet experience but it's biggest problem from my experience is the battery , after a short time will die .I got a cheap battery for Samsung Galaxy S5 from Cellz ,a mobile accessories website and now I got no more worries. Rated 4 out of 5 by Samsung Galaxy is the Winner I had the iPhone 5s, the Galaxy is a much better phone. The camera and storage capacity make the Galaxy the favorite. November 6, 2014

To upgrade early, you’ll need to pay off your entire Equipment Installment Plan. You can do this by calling Customer Care or visiting a T-Mobile retail store.

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on T-Mobile.com, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
