Rated 5 out of 5 by Epic The Note 3 is a truly Epic phone. It will remain in the hearts and minds of many for years to come. Even though successive Notes will have higher and better specs, none will match the durability, easy of use, quality, reception, and overall performance of the Note 3 and its official S-View cover. Resolutions over 1080p (Full HD) are not even noticeable to the eye on small screens and impede performance and battery life. November 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worked Great--for a couple months. . . When I purchased this phone, it was fantastic. However, it has since revealed itself to be the worst smartphone I have ever owned. It started slowing down and the battery not lasting as long after only a month of use. After another month, I started having minor glitches... I purchased this phone in May 2014. Now it is November 2014 and half the time I have to restart my phone just to make a phone call. Not worth the money! November 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love my Note 3 If you buy a new Note 3 you won't regret it. A new Note 3 really is worth the price, even though it's been out 1 year. 1 year in for me and I would buy my Note 3 again without any hesitation. Features why I bought this phone: 1.)The Bluetooth abilities are awesome! I have many things paired with my Note 3. Two pairs of headphones, stereo in my truck for music and handsfree calling, a mouse, two keyboards, and a transmitter/receiver that's connected to the stereo at home so I can send music to the stereo wirelessly and keep my phone with me. Can also pair a Bluetooth printer with Note 3 than you don't have to deal with wires and adapters. 2.) USB abilities: can plug in wired mouse, keyboard, printers and other USB devices directly to phone with USB adapter to micro usb. I plug adapter into my Note 3 than plug in 4 port usb hub and can plug in multiple usb devices to Note 3 at one time. 3.) Note 3 can have two windows open at once. Which is very useful like if needing to for example use browser and calendar or having many other apps & functions open on the screen together. Or play videos online while surfing the internet. Multi window works in portrait and landscape modes. 4.) Note 3 has two antennas inside so you can use the data or wifi while talking on the phone. There have been many times I've needed to look up something online while talking on the phone. Or take a picture and text it to someone while also talking to them on the phone. For over a year I've had a note 3 and it's great that they're made with two antennas. I can't see myself ever owning a phone with only a single antenna This phone goes with me everywhere and is like a best friend or sidekick. I don't believe in becoming so attached to a material object but it's hard not to when I use this an infinite amount of times during the day for surfing, shopping, reading, music, talk/text, paying bills, email apps, texting occasional pictures, calendar app that has extra features to keep me organized and the list goes on and on. Over the years I got sick of maintaining my laptop & desktop pc's when I rarely used them. After getting my note 3 I turned in all my pc stuff for free recycling. This beast of a phone is like a "pocket computer" that can keep up with a fullsize computer. I also typed this using my phone I have dropped my phone a few times with it landing various ways. But it's very durable with a case and scratch/shatter resistant screen protector. Couple times the protective case popped open but the phone and screen protector is still in pristine condition. I paid $35 for the scratch/shatter protector to be installed and it's worth every penny for piece of mind knowing the screen is safe. Since buying the phone I've had the insurance for $8 per month which is good piece of mind. I'm a pretty heavy user of my phone and most of the time have to charge it when I go to bed. If I rarely use my phone it might make it two days with a small amount of talk and text. I also keep power saver mode turned on to conserve the battery power. Most days I'm a heavy user of my phone and my battery never gets close to being uncomfortably hot, that's with the case on or off. Note 3 does screen mirroring great with my samsung smart tv. If your tv isn't compatible for the screen mirroring feature of the Note 3 use the samsung MHL adapter or allcast box. Very occasionally I use the S pen. Handwriting features work great, and handwriting to typed text works great. S pen is also good for editing pictures and removing portions of an picture or image and moving it to another picture. Shortly after I bought my note 3 I made the mistake of removing the apps that I didn't want. This caused my phone to reboot frequently every 20 minutes to few hours. I realized it was my fault for removing the "stock" apps and was very relieved that after reinstalling the apps and keeping everything up to date for the latest OS my phone works great. The apps I attempted to uninstall are organized in their own file so the Note 3 can still get those updates and the apps aren't in the way This is a very complicated smartphone with a lot of menus and almost an infinite amount of settings for everything it can do. If you buy a Note 3 don't try to setup everything in the phone in one weekend. Setup the important things like necessary contacts, email, organize your must have apps. Than over the next 2-3 weeks slowly work on the different settings and look up things online that you're not sure about so your phone doesn't do odd things and get frustrated like I did I bought my Note 3 at a tmobile store brand new Summer of 2013 and plan to use it for several years to come. I'm not the type that wants to have the latest greatest gadgets. But when I spend my money buying something that is the latest and greatest like a Note 3 I'm comitted to using it for many years to come until technology has improved enough that an upgrade makes sense. Rated 4 out of 5 by This phone is ok I like this phone as far as using it for everyday use. There are three things I dislike first the battery runs to fast for my taste, secondly the auto focus on the camera is too slow, and lastly I hate to wait for the latest Android update since it uses Samsung' s touch wiz. But aside from that this is a great phone. November 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by strange to say, but i love the phone no more..... wow...What happen to my Note 3... i use to love this phone i use to call it the miracle maker, but after so many problem, such as freezing to not be able to do anything in till hard reset... sensors miss fortunes, camera not working, and window locked completely (by the way because of these causes i had to change my phone 4 times) i decided that my love relationship with my samsung is over November 2, 2014

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
