    Rated 1 out of 5 by Aweful phone I have 3 of these L90 phones for the family, and we are all very displeased with these phones. I am not a huge smartphone guy, but prior to this I had a 3-4 year old "cheap free phone" from another company. The older phone outperforms this phone in every way, except maybe battery life, which isn't great on the L90 either. This phone shuts off by itself from time to time, looses the simcard and requires a reboot or three to fid the sim-card again. Then a biggie for me is that the GPS looses signal when I am using the GPS to find my way in a strange place! Has done this several times and we got lost once where my phone and my wifes phone lost GPS at the same time. December 16, 2014
    Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Phone for the Price After having an Iphone for 2 years, I decided to switch to Android. As my first Android phone this one is fantastic. It does everything I need it to. My only issue with this phone is the CAMERA. It's so blurry that I ask my husband for his Iphone to take pictures when we go out. I would not recommend this phone to anyone who uses their phone as their only camera. In general though it's a great reliable phone for an affordable price. December 13, 2014
    Rated 1 out of 5 by you get what you pay for First off the specs are incorrect. There are only 4 GB of usable internal memory,not 8. The other 4 must be used on software/ui so you really only get half of what is expected (although this can be fixed by mounting an external SD card). The spec sheet also claims this phone has a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, but never in my experience have I seen a quad core processor lag as much as this one. There are too many uninstallable apps that run in the background that take up too much ram. Internet browsers force close constantly, the keyboard is extremely laggy, and music apps such as Spotify and songza are unable to run if you're browsing the web. Essentially, after downloading a few apps such as Facebook, twitter, and Spotify that need to run in the background, you will be left with a debilitatingly slow and intolerable phone. T mobile needs to find a way to reduce the apps running concurrently in the background to make it more usable to the average individual. To end on a positive note, the screen is good looking and the battery life is acceptable (about a day long) with average use. You get what you pay for. December 13, 2014
    Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Starter Smart Phone!! My wife and I purchased this phone as our first smart phone, and I am extremely pleased with this. Take some time and explore it and get to know how to use your side buttons. Even though it has a double tap feature to turn the screen on/off, I wouldn't ever recommend actually using that feature only because you could probably destroy your phone this way fairly quickly. The memory is only 4GB internally, but you can upgrade your memory with a microSD card. I put a 16GB one in, and this is more then enough for me. I don't use a lot of apps, so I don't need a phone with a ton of storage. The battery life is great (I find LG's to always last awhile#. I have had this phone now for four months, and charge it full every 3rd day. If you are using your apps all day, then of course your battery is going to drain quicker, that is with every single smart phone, not specific to this model. Remember this is like a little computer, so you should shut down and restart once a day as well. Also, make sure to close your browser tabs out completely, or this will still run in a process on your phone draining your battery quicker. The front camera isn't that great at 2mp, the back camera is better at 5mp. I have taken some decent photos with this. The screens are extremely simple to use, and much better then far more advanced phones. The navigation buttons are fixed at the bottom, so if you ever get lost, you hit that button in the middle and return back to your main screen. It's a great starter phone, and perfect if you are looking for a phone for texting, calling # I never get any echo by the way, TIP: echo is caused when a users phone has their volume up so loud, that when the person is talking on the other line, their voice actually travels back down to the speaker, and they hear their voice again. Simple solution to this: turn down your volume, if you hear an echo tell them to turn their volume down), I also use a few apps like yahoo, e-mail, Facebook, Instagram, all work great.     Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

    EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

    The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

    Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

    Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

    You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

    Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
