I upgraded only because I had used all it's memory. However, I intend to activate it as a second devise on my plan! New, at least it is a great phone. Ive had my phone for quite a while but the first month it was horrible to use, the memory was horrible, and the camera isnt all that good. Its pointless to even have an sd card with this phone. My grandma doesnt even like hers. She stopped using it after a month. The screen glitches some time. LG should do a total recall on this phone. They are horrible. July 18, 2014

Was excited, then went to get apps.. The storage wasn't good at all. Only 5-6 apps. The front camera is the WORST. It makes everything look darker. Texting was fine, only you can't send that many texts at a time. Battery Life is poor. Web Browser was always buggy. The phone was just buggy and not a good phone. Speaker phone was not an option, they couldn't hear you, and you couldn't hear them. July 16, 2014

It's really slow. It takes forever to charge. It's terrible with memory (it has like 2 GB). And the battery life is terrible! I could charge this phone all night and in the morning it will be on 100% and in 10 mins it will be on 85% . The camera is slow and it has the worst quality! Tmobile should really just get rid of this phone. I hate it and if I could get money back I would. July 14, 2014

I got in trouble in my class numerous times because my music on this phone randomly played in class (like 5 times). My media on my device takes forever to load and my phone crashes so many times.Also, whenever I text, it won't send sometimes saying that my "sim card is unavailable" when It's clearly in my phone. I am so sick of this phone and I want to switch. I haven't even had this phone for 3 months until problems started. I have had this phone for 9 months now. June 5, 2014
    Rated 4 out of 5 by Not A Bad Phone I'll be honest I see other reviews and I don't understand the complaints I've had the phone for almost 3 weeks and I don't see any issues except for one which would be how fragile the phone is sometimes when its in my pocket I'll pull it out and an under screen air bubble will be there one time it happened in between my classes and lasted for over an HOUR. It can be irritating but whats a phone without problems. I still think the phones great the camera quality is really good, apps run well. I guess the memory is low but I don't play many games and I back up photos more than I take them. I recommend an SD card when getting the phone for music. Besides that it's a great product.     Rated 2 out of 5 by Terribly laggy and glitch. There are many problems with this phone. I recieved my phone refurbished. The first few weeks were very good. The phone was speedy, but now it slowed down to a snail 's pace. There are delays of five seconds between any action, and there is a glitch where the screen thinks that the screen is being pressed by multiple fingers. Web-browsing is a pain with Chrome because of slow typing and scrolling. And when I want tp type on browser, the keyboard cuts the screen in half. Camera quality isn't good for anything too. Storage space is very small, so having any apps is pointless. The Quickmemo shortcut on the side is a pain in the neck because it always activates when I tune the volumes up or down. My microSD card is usless because the phone cannot even use it for anything. The audio from the speakers are plain, and they sound bad too. There are too many extra apps that I do not need, such as Chrome, Photos, and Hangouts. I do not want two applications for every single thing I have. The lag on this phone is unfixable. No "cache cleaner" or third party app will help. The lag has denied me many things, like phone calls, messaging, and my sanity. I also cannot have live wallpapers or widgets, or any type of background process, because it will add to the lag. The battery life lasts me half a day with everything being used normally. It takes a while to adjust to a low memory space, lag, and bad reception. If I want to make a call, I am limited to specific areas, like the outdoors. I have thrown the phone in rage, and I haven't gotten a single major dent. May 11, 2014

This phone is so annoying that you cant transfer apps. to your external memory card.You have to constantly transfer or delete files that you use as the internal memory is filled up with unused apps that you cannot delete or transfer to the SD card. It constantly gives you messages that the memory in the phone is low and does not update your apps. Worst is when you don't get your txt's. then to realize the reason is the constant " MEMORY INSUFFICIENT " warning. "WHEN " I have a 34G SD memory card installed in the phone!!!(which I cant use for apps.) May 10, 2014

    Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

    EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

    The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

    Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

    Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

    You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

    Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
