I love that the phone as a replaceable battery and upgradeable storage. That being said I have and have now seen many others have issues with the GPS. Which is a huge annoyance to me as I use it often. It often takes up to 5 minutes to find out where I am. And even then it has trouble keeping up along the way. Had I known how awful the GPS was I would have gotten another phone. September 24, 2016

It worked great right out of the box and has continued to do so not one hiccup even after getting a couple of updates to the OS. I've had my G5 for more than six months and it's been Bulletproof I just love it I highly recommend it to anybody he's looking for a state-of-the-art phone with tons of great features. And to my surprise, it was an LG G5. I was so excited until it froze and began to "bootloop" after having it only for 1 HOUR!!!!!!     Rated 1 out of 5 by Probably last LG phone I buy Every phone I've had has been an LG except one. I've had the Nexus 4, 5, the G4 and now this one. They've all been great, awesome to use, sturdy, and strong. Great replacement/fixing if I did have issues. Now this phone killed that trend. 1st phone I got had a dead GPS that didn't work, got it replace no problem, second phone that I'm using is still the same way barely works, but since it has a cracked screen after been placed in a plastic cup holder I have to stick with it. Considering the G4 I had before was a tank, survived +5ft drops on concrete this is DISAPPOINTING to say the least. Now there massive screen bleed and burn in like a 1st gen plasma TV. I like the phone, the camera, love the fingerprint sensor (love it!), it's speedy and gets the job done, easy to use, and some of the LG customizations are really good, don't like that it heats up really bad when in the heat (metal phone and all) I like the more temperature consistent G4. There are major manufacturing quality issues that need to be addressed September 12, 2016

    Rated 2 out of 5 by Malfunctions Before I bought this phone I had the LG G3. Great phone until the antenna malfunctioned and started overheating my phone and shutting it off. I bought this phone in May 2016 mainly for the purpose of the camera. Heard a lot of good things about it. It started out real nice. It is now Sept 2016 and in the matter of 4 months, I've already returned and had a new/refurbished (most likely refurbished) one sent to me twice! My 1st phone kept restarting on me. With my 2nd and 3rd phones, the power button malfunctioned and wouldn't turn back on! This is freaking ridiculous! LG stands for "Life's Good" , doesn't it? How about making your phones good too. Phone is way too expensive for it to be having so many malfunctions. Very disappointed. September 9, 2016

    In most cases, the answer is yes. The first step is to check your phone to see if it’s compatible, and to find out what SIM card it uses. Then, you’ll simply select that SIM card and a plan. Once you receive your new SIM card in the mail, you’ll be ready to go.

    You may pay off the full cost of your phone (and any other devices included in your Equipment Installment Plan) early. If you do, you’ll enjoy monthly savings even sooner. To pay off your phone, you will need to call Customer Care or visit a T-Mobile retail store.

Just tell us the make, model and condition of your old phone and we’ll give you a quote for your trade-in value.     Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

    EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

    The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

    Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on device becomes due.

    You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

    Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
