Having looked at the newest generation of 'hot iron' out there in mobile phones, compared the specs, done a wee bit of x over y graphing and "shiver me timbers" the LG G2 came out on top. Thus I bought one, knowing I could return if not happy. Well, having migrated from the Nexus 4, which is a great phone, especially unlocked given the raw talent of stock android, I must post a resounding thumbs up for my LG G2. Everything is great, mind you i'm running ART not Dalvick, big difference. So before you spend that extra 200 to 250 bucks on the latest plastic, get a grip on a G2. This screen is super durable, and I haven't had a case on it and it dropped once from about 3 feet on wood floor, and I see no marks or cracks. This phone is quick, has great battery life with a 3000mah battery, and has a beautiful 5.2 inch screen. Thr guy with the screen cracking and all that crud was just really unlucky cuz this device is a beast, and all those things that happened to his phone are not happening to mine.     Rated 1 out of 5 by Great phone on paper and nothing more I bought this phone because it has excellent specs on paper. The camera is great, the screen resolution is great, and it has a fast processor. The problem is that what looks good on paper isn't always the reality. The back buttons are annoying, unnecessary, and ridiculous. I was expecting to get used to it, but it never happened. No removable memory or battery is another issue. Another issue is that I would get dropped calls every time I used wifi calling and when I disabled wifi calling I'd get poor reception in my house. Sometimes the phone would show 3 bars but it would also say "searching" which means that I have no service. The GPS is horrible. I couldn't even use it. I have to say that this phone's worst flaw is that it simply isn't durable. I got a scratch on the camera lens after the first week #this didn't affect the picture quality so it wasn't that much of an issue#. After the first month, the screen cracked which made the phone unusable. Most people's initial reaction would be to think that I dropped it, but that wasn't the case. My mom simply pressed on it too hard when she was scrolling through my pictures and that caused it to crack. The only positive aspect of this phone is the camera and that's basically the only thing I use it for right now. July 22, 2014

Just tell us the make, model and condition of your old phone and we’ll give you a quote for your trade-in value.     Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order.

    Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

    EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

    The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

    Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

    Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

    You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

    Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
