Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than M7 My previous phone was an unlocked, HTC M7. I bought this phone because I love the HTC brand and I android. The quality of the build is good. Does not feel as good as the M7 but overall quality of the brand persist. Call quality is good. Music sounds great. Applications are great. I like that TMo is keeping a low profile too. Rated 5 out of 5 by i'm in love with a new m8 then any other phone this new htc one m8 is highly recommended all the reviews are amazing , by combining google now which all ready installed with google commander completely turns every detail voice controlled haha better then apple any day it has so many capabilities it is crazy and the speakers are better then any phone the market with what seems like surround sound then the built in amp for headphones makes you feel like your at a concert lol the sound changed my life plus all the cool things it does the software is awesome and in drive mode connects to car and there are even more voice options and you never have to loo k at it it will read out text or calls voice everything,,, durable , metal , seem less design excellently crafted , I am heavy phone user and I can go about 2 days with full battery just make sure the first 7 times it almost dies then plug to charger do it seven times to set longest battery life ,,,,, also du battery booster helps extremely well plus widget for instant use buy hitting the blue leaf with blue circle it actually tells you how many min added to phone it closes out all back ground instantly you do that every couple hours and seriously every two days I charge my M8...... Thank you to developers big time its amazing phone I really will never switch to other phone ,,,,, I know you have two camera on back but I don't understand why megapixels are not higher like 16 for both and the 3d mode not that great you need real 3d mode like some other phone a few years ago had called I think t evo 3d but that and megapixel's would be better id raised and a correct 3d platform ,,, yoo already have the best software and phone lol I have never bragged about a phone till THANK YOU HTC ONE M8 DEVELOPER'S August 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Style over Substance This phone is too large with far too much wasted space. HTC has decided to place a large bar across the bottom of the phone that serves no purpose but to display their name. This bar makes it much more difficult to use the phone one handed. The all aluminium case make the phone unnecessarily heavy and the curved design makes it easy to fall out of the hand. While claiming to have superior sound quality, the boomsound seems to defeat sound processing features of software players. Sense UI is ugly. The 4MP camera is out of date; while HTC claims the larger pixels improve image quality the lack of resolution is noticeable. In summary, HTC has emphasised look over ergonomics, and gimmicks over useful features in the M8. This phone has been nothing but a disappointment. August 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Thought I liked it but now I don't I got the HTC one months ago and absolutely loved it. I love the Zoe feature. I really did LIKE this phone till one day i couldn't make text messages anymore. It would always say "Text Messages has stopped" . It would do that constantly. I went back to my carrier and they exchanged my phone for a new one ( thank god for insurance). Got my replacement phone in the next day, super cool, to find out that I could not make any phone calls unless the speaker was on. Again I went back to my cell phone provider and they agreed that I needed another replacement. So I waited for the new one to arrive and when that phone came in the mail I opened the box and was glad to see a working phone….finally. But a couple of days later my phone started to freeze on me, shut off and on with pushing the on/off button. Went back and guess what I got another replacement. The new one works for now. Every time I went back to get the replacement phones, they did offer me a Galaxy instead of the HTC one. The only reason why i didn't was because I like this phone. But if this happens again….going through three phones in two weeks, I just might take them up on that offer of the Galaxy/Galaxy notebook. I do hear good things about those phones. Make me proud HTC!!! August 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic, just as I anticipated After using Apple phones for years, I began to come a little bit bored and maybe even unsatisfied. I was a previous android user as well and only had memories of lag, stutters, and pure annoyance from an LG phone. The HTC Incredible I had before that was great, however. I decided to leap back into the android game with the launch of the HTC One M8. I was immediately surprised by the gorgeous, large display. Everything was crisp, accurate, and the viewing angles were phenomenal as well. The phone is extremely well crafted. I find myself questioning the dimensions put on paper as it feels very at home in the hand. The weight distribution works very well for the phone. Finally, the speakers deliver as promised - very clear and bold audio. I was blown away by the software side of things as well. Nothing lags at all, and I have put this device through some intense abuse. The latest iteration of Sense packs tons of features into a manageable, simplistic, and fluid package. And somehow, battery life is still something to shout about. It's simply insane how long it lasts. This all provides for a very pleasant media consumption experience. I was admittedly unimpressed with the camera equipped on the One M7 that I used very briefly. I'm happy to say that the new sensor is much improved, but perhaps there are some improvements left to be made. Most problems lie in the exposure. In well lit situations, the large sensor takes in too much light and frequently overexposes and washes out colors. It is manageable with the right configuration of settings, whether it's dialing down the exposure value (EV), changing the setting to "backlight", changing it to "landscape", or things of that nature. Chromatic aberrations have definitely been present in trees, though. And of course a little more detail would be a welcome addition. I am, however, delighted to witness how lightning-fast it is to focus and take photos. Sometimes you're not even sure a photo was taken due to it's speed! The Duo-Camera bokeh effects work pretty well as long as you don't overdo it. Lastly, there are so many fun effects to mess around with that shooting is always an enjoyable experience with this camera. All in all, I find this phone to be a very compelling package. I completely understand why it can be referenced to as "the gateway to android for iPhone users." I'm extremely happy with my choice, and I'm excited to see what HTC will bring in the future. Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Phone, Way better than my Galaxy S4! I upgraded from a Galaxy S4 that was a pretty good phone in it's own right, One of the biggest uses I get out of my phones is that I like to play music through the built in phone speakers and you cannot find a smartphone on the market with louder audio than this phone, I still don't understand why other smartphone manufacturers haven't figured out that front facing speakers are way more convenient than rear facing speakers but I can guarantee that I won't be buying another phone with a rear facing speaker! Oh and did I mention this phone is made of metal and not plastic? Hands down way better than my old S4 or any Iphone on the market, Android 4.4.2 is lightning fast and I have yet to run into any bugs! August 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Plenty of Room For Improvement Ok, this phone is really great, but there is a lot of improving to be done. Im sure in the one m9, will be a snapdragon 500 proccesor and yadda yadda. But i would like the clock speed to be just as fast. Like why does the one m8 have to be clocked in at 2.3ghz, and not 2..5ghz as the other flagships. Also please improve on the camera. Keep the duo camera but make the camera like 12-15 megapixels. And definently add a bigger battery. A minor thing that could also be improved on is the power button. PUT IT ON THE SIDE! Otherwise its a good phone for heavy use. August 3, 2014

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
