Rated 5 out of 5 by great phone Recommend to my friend this phone is amazing I like the cam take I nice pictures July 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by just AMAZING! I just switched from an iPhone 5S and I'm never looking back. This phone is everything it's hyped up to be. Also a quick note about the camera , I'm extremely pleased with the photos I've been able to take with it, and all of the editing features are top notch. If you have any reservations about buying this phone, DONT! Get it now. There's just no going back to ios after playing with this piece of art. P.s. BoomSound puts all other phones to shame! July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Phone! This phone is way more stable then Samsung. I love Samsung but this is does not crash or freeze up when compared. Battery is great and the body is slick! July 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best phone I've owned Undeniably The HTC M8 is a true work of art. I've been an HTC fan since the original Desire, and their phones have been very good. Still, there was always something lacking from each one. In my opinion, the one pure jewel HTC produced was the Evo 4G. It received updates, it had 4G, it had a beautiful display at the time, a great camera, a kickstand, just about everything you would want in a phone in 2010. It has been a while since HTC has created a phone as good as that one. The HTC One came close, but its battery was lackluster and its camera didn't produce the best shots. However, I picked up the M8 on the first day regardless. My phone set up before the M8 was a Droid DNA and iPhone 5S. I also recently picked up a Moto X and Nexus 5 for fun. With that said, as soon as I picked up the M8 out of the box, I was shocked by the amazing build quality. This is unmatched and goes beyond what the iPhone and the original One had. I like to call it a metal pillow because it feels so soft yet so sterile at the same time. Its rounded back and the smooth aluminum finish makes it feel like one of the most, if the not the most, premium phone on the market. With my first impression already being positive, I quickly put the box aside and turned the phone on. I was soon greeted a bright, vibrant 1080p display. This is arguably the best panel I've ever seen. The Droid DNA and HTC One M7 all had 1080p displays but it was not as bright and not as accurate. The iPhone 5S and Nexus 7 are regarded as very accurate displays and having both on hand, I compared them with the M8 and I have to say the M8 have the best out of them. The colors pop, but not as strong and artificial as the AMOLED screens yet the tones are more realistic than the Nexus 7. This is a great display. Moving on to using the phone, Sense 6 is a great improvement on the already good Sense 5. It retains the same features, but is a complete redesign with a flatter, modern UI. Every app is equipped with a vibrant palette of colors that extend to the notification bar, which looks fantastic on this beautiful screen. Every aspect is improved, Blinkfeed now includes more extensions and the home buttons are on screen for better comfort. The phone is faster, more feature packed than any previous iteration. Using apps are a joy, when there is no lag to be seen. Playing intense games like Modern Combat, Riptide 2, and Spiderman 2 show impressive details yet not dropping a single frame. There are also 2 very cool hardware features HTC put into the phone. That is the Duo Camera and the BoomSound speakers. BoomSound was present in the original One M7 which was widely praised by critics but this is even better. It's louder(25% according to HTC), clearer, and has an improved engine that spreads the sound further for a more immersive stereo feel. These are the only speakers on a phone that sound phenomenal, it is unmatched by small, tinny speakers on competitors(cough* Samsung). The Duo Camera was originally dismissed as a gimmick, but it is actually a very functional set of cameras. It allows for depth information that software simply can't do. It captures depth with every single image so you don't have to worry about turning on a feature or worrying about not taking a picture right. After taking the picture you can refocus, adjust how much blur you want, and pick any area on the picture instead of just front and back like other phones. The front camera also is the best on any phone with 5 MP and a selfie mode specifically made for taking self portraits. Overall, this is a fantastic, fantastic phone. It has everything you could want in a phone. It lasts a long time, I got 35 hours on one charge! I have it set to turn on battery saver at 20% which gives me an extra 2 hours or so and at 5%, HTC Extreme Battery Mode turns on and I get another 6 hours or so at 5% while retaining the ability to text, call, use email, and calculator. Knowing all this, there is no reason not to get this phone. Great design, great display, fast, smart, great speakers, great battery, it's a near perfect phone. July 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Speechless.... Wow....HTC really nailed it with this phone. The reason why i got this phone was because of the hardware, and the battery life. Impressive. The camera isn't all that but it does the work, its only 4 mp and 5 on the infront camera, but who cares? when you have a digital camera with 20.4mp this phone camera's mp won't come to mind, it does the work. Overall, i totally recommend this camera to anyone who's looking for a long lasting camera. July 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best phone I've ever used HTC really nailed this phone! Everything from the beautiful display to the amazing BoomSound speakers to great battery life, this phone has it all. Sense is a very refined UI, and extremely responsive. BoomSound is amazing. I have never experienced such incredible audio quality through a phone's speakers. BoomSound is not only great for music and video, but speakerphone calls are amazing. Much has been said about the camera. Although the megapixel count remains unchanged from the M7, image quality is much improved. It may not be as *consistent* a camera as some of the best smartphone cameras out there, but is capable of some beautiful shots. The shutter speed is one of the fastest I've seen, and the front camera is great for selfies. This phone has top of the line specs, and has no lag. High end games run as smooth as butter, and the phone is stable. Additionally, the build on this phone is GORGEOUS, one of the best out there. The screen is stunning- I could go on and on. Buy this now- the HTC One M8 is a Samsung killer. The experience on this phone is so refined and smooth, you won't be able to put it down! June 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not so fast M8 Well what can you say the phone is 1) Nice to handle 2) Easy to use 3) Reasonably Fast in operation 4) Sound is brilliant 5) BUT WOOOAH THAT CAMERA ! Beginners may think it takes good (note the word good) pictures but blow them up just a little bit and watch that resolution disappear fast . What a let down, you see all the ufocus stuff in the world cant save you from lack of pixels! ultra pixels I hear ummm well mine must have lost some lol Its just a shame this lets the phone down as who wants to carry around a decent digital camera when one is supposed to be on the phone sorry but this doesn't cut it ! June 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best just gets better HTC had a multi-award winning phone on their hands with the original HTC One last year. So the though on my mind (and I'm sure many others, was just how would they manage to improve on it in 2014's successor??!?). With the HTC One M8, HTC sure has done not only that, but they have really set the bar even higher than ever! I loved the metal finish on my HTC One M7 and when I unboxed the HTC One M8, I was astounded at the wraparound metal back (90% metal!! Wow!) and the curve and finish (on the Gunmetal Grey) was something that just felt so good and "right" in my hand when I held it, so much so that I didn't want to put it down! The finish and texture on the Gunmetal grey is superb! Obviously lots of thought and effort in getting the tactile feel down, just right! Overall, I think this device is a winner, superb build and quality, screen is top notch, no lag when using it, Sense 6 is really upping the game with the tweaks and improvements, and though I'd personally wished for a slightly larger battery in the M8 (2800-3000mAh would've been superb) the improvements in terms of power usage and battery management, means that it last quite a bit better than its predecessor in my own heavy usage. As a photographer, the camera on my device is important for making photos when I don't have my other cameras on me. The Ultrapixel camera on the HTC One M8 with the Duocamera setup goes some way to improve on the critiques of its predecessor. The Ultrapixel camera definitely make a difference in lowlight and indoor scenes, while the increased data in the files from the depth sensor is telling in not only better photo files and coupled with the interesting features in the stock photo editor like uFocus, Foregrounder and so on, lets the average user get creative with their photos for sharing on social networks. In that respect, the camera is more than sufficient for social sharing, the details in files is sufficient and slight cropping is still acceptable, though given that the camera is still only 4 megapixels, heavy cropping isn't recommended, of course. Lovely device, I wish everyone out there would get one, and realise what they've been missing when they experience the HTC One M8 firsthand for themselves! June 28, 2014

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

    Get started

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on T-Mobile.com, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

Learn more about Premium Handset Protection

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
