Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost a perfect phone... The One M8 is almost the perfect phone for me. I JUMPed from the Note 3 to the One M8 and have loved it.....except for one thing. The GPS is unreliable. I've tried a couple different running apps and have ran in a couple different places; I'm lucky if my GPS signal doesn't get lost during the run. I had 0 issues with the GPS on the Note 3. Other than that, I love the size. The Note 3 was just too big; the One M8 fits perfectly in my hand. I also love the front facing speakers since the phone is mostly used for music and video. The HD call quality is a big plus as well. July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfection This phone is a boss. Puts others to shame. I've had the m7, the features were awesome and I was highly pleased when I dropped it face flat with no case on a sharp object,it ripped a hole in the plastic screen protector but didn't even damage the screen, iPhones and galaxys would've had no chance. I just knew I had to get the m8 when it released. Camera is great but could do better. HTC is the way to go July 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loved the phone till screen went out I got an HTC One about two months ago and loved the phone. A few days ago screen went out and really left me in a pinch as I use the phone for work. Screen is purple with tiny yellow dots...no icons are displayed and the phone is unusable. I still receive calls but can't respond as the icons are lurking somewhere behind this screen. Waiting on a replacement phone - seems they are on back-order and it will take 7 to 10 days to get a new one. In the meantime, I'm having difficulty meeting job demands as my phone is an integral part of what I do. July 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best phone I have ever owned. This phone is perfect. I used the Jump program to upgrade from a Nexus 4 and I couldn't be more pleased. I will not buy sambum phones becouse of their terrible touch wiz software. I hve always been a software purist and coming from the nexus line of pure Google Android I was very skeptical. I was wrong. Sense 6.0 on this phone is a delight...quick responsive and with absolutely no stutter or hangups it works exactly as it supposed to. Sense is flat clean and easy on the eyes and intuitive. The phone itself is fun. The metal body is smooth solid and feels good in your hand. It has weight and even though I have dropped it twice ( no case as of yet ) not a scratch. The screen is amazing as well. The detail is brillant and crisp and frankly rivals any high end 1080p tv or pc moniter I've owned...and as a hardware nerd and pc builder/gamer I only buy equipment that performs. The boom sound speakers are solid and sound great..however the real bonus is that the boom sound hardware/software enhances headphones or portable speakers in a very noticeable way ( pc nerds I would equate this to the diffrence between an on-board audio solution vs an add on card from creative or Asus ). So into the debate about the camera. Yes the Samsung , Nexus, and LG all have a superior camera on paper, but so did my old nexus 4 and let me tell you...the camera is top notch for the day to day user. It provides excellent pictures in low light which is great for indoor photogs as well as an HDR node which makes the outside high light pictures really pop. The camera software is fun and easy to use and is by far superior to any other on the market..including Apple. 32 gigs internal memory with a option for for 128 more gigs via ad slot. Frankly HTC may have just made me a customer for life. I know the Samsung has more specs but as a daily driver this as good a smartphone as you can purchase. Oh and I have yet to drain the battery down past 14 percent after 3 days of heavy power use, with each day consisting of around 9 - 11 hours a day. Ignore the Samsung and Apple commercials - this phone will make you happy. Bonus info. When you buy this phone HTC includes a one time screen replacment during the first 6 months of ownership. HTC also includes 50gb of cloud storage on Google drive when you purchase the M8. July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by so happy. So good. Long battery life. All day -30 %. So happy. July 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great phone with just a few minor things To start this review off, I am not a die hard HTC loving fanboy. In fact, until this phone I had only owned Apple smart phones. So this review should be unbiased. Also, this review won't be an iOS vs Android review. It will suffice to say I currently like Android better. This review will be focused on the hardware and software specific to this phone. Advantages: With that being said, I really like this phone. This phone looks great. It has good colors to choose from and a great metal design. It feels very solid. As a photographer, I was pleasantly surprised by the good low light performance due to the large sensor, full manual controls, and the ability to get shallow depth of field. Those are all things that I didn't have on an iPhone. The large pixels are usually a plus because of the good low light performance, which means less noise (grain), but when noise does show up in extremely low light situations, it's not pretty. In fact, it's even more noticeable than regular sized pixel noise is. I also like the Zoe feature, which let's you take phones and video at once. The camera and video quality and features are the some of the best that you'll find in a smartphone, but if you're a professional, it still won't be replacing your DSLR. Blinkfeed, a built in HTC software that shoves news and social media in one place, is great. It's one of the best features of the phone. The built in IR blaster that allows this phone to be a TV remote is awesome too. Disadvantages: This all being said, I have some complaints. I would like to be able to control the F-stops in manual mode. That is the only thing missing in manual mode. Also, the speaker holes are just the right size for any crumb or sand to get luck in. Almost every hole has sand, cereal crumbs, or something small stuck in them by now. This doesn't affect the sound of the speakers, but it doesn't look good either. Other: This phone won't let you swap out batteries like some other Android phones do. However, this phone has a giant battery to make up for it. I didn't count this as a disadvantage because of this. Also compared to the Samsung S5 or iPhone 5S, I like the HTC One M8 best. I haven't been able to play around with my friends LG G3 enough to comment on that though. July 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great phone but lack of color options This phone is actually an amazing phone. The only problem is that T-Mobile only offers one color which is gunmetal gray. Not everyone is going to appreciate, let alone enjoy the gunmetal gray... Especially females. I strongly believe that if T-Mobile offers more colors for this outstanding android phone... there will be an abundance of sales with this smartphone. The other colors are glacial silver and amber gold. And trust me, the amber gold is a beauty. Every other major carrier has color options for this phone and T-Mobile should probably catch up. Please T-Mobile... add these colors for the sake of your customers. I mean you do have the ugly gold for the Galaxy S5... Why not the beautiful amber gold and glacial silver for the HTC One M8? July 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's pretty much perfect. The battery life is killer. The screen resolution is sharp and the colors are beautiful. It's very easy to use in contrast to the Galaxy S I just came from, there's much less bloatware and pre-installed, unusable stuff. This phone is straight to the point and beautiful. It doesn't slow down either. Great phone. July 15, 2014

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on T-Mobile.com, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
