Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best 2014 has to offer This phone is one of the best phone in 2014 for a couple of reason. One is that it looks like a "beast". It has a full metallic look that will melt your eyes and even your friends looking at it. The quality is undeniable. It has one of the best sound system in any phone I have ever seen with the boom sound speakers. It runs on android 4.4 but will be upgraded to 5.0 soon. The screen is crystal clear and that makes the interface easy to handle even if you have big fingers. Battery life is good. The one thing that was mediocre was the camera, packing only 5mp of resolution. However, this phone makes up for that lack of resolution with creative software that will allow you to tweak the image in cool ways. Take for example, 360 pan, dual imaging, zoom capabilities, zoe function, and more. Overall, this phone is just a monster. If you want to buy a phone simply just for taking pictures, this isn't the phone for you. Everything else, this phone will be more than enough to satisfy your needs. December 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by frequently lose internet connection , very frequent i lope internet connection and phone call December 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by 6 Months Later...I Hate It I really hate this phone because after only 6 months two things happened. First, the touch screen became inoperative on the left side, from the top to the bottom, making it impossible to use in portrait mode. Then, shortly after, the entire phone died. I was on vacation in Mexico and didn't have a phone to use for two weeks. I just returned and picked up a Sony Z3 and I love it. After using the Sony for a few days I now have a point of reference from which to compare the HTC against. Here are my observations. 1. The HTC is heavy and hard to grip. Without a case, it would slip right out of my hands. 2. The HTC has horrible battery life. 3. The speakers on the Z3 are much brighter sounding than the HTC. 4. I would miss half my calls with the HTC because the vibration was hardly perceptible. 5. The camera on the HTC took nasty pictures and videos. I knew how to use the camera but who has time to learn all the idiosyncrasies, or who cares? 6. No micro SD slot on the HTC, up to 128 gb micro sd on the Z3. 7. HTC is not waterproof, Z3 good for up to 5 feet of water depth. 8. The Z3 charges in a fraction of the time the HTC took. 9. The display on the Z3 is way better than the HTC. Colors are vivid, icons are clear and smooth. 10. I have the Z2 tablet so I have no learning curve. Both devices are virtually the same. I am trying to think of something the HTC did that the Z3 doesn't, or does better than the Z3. The HTC is fast but since it doesn't work anymore I cannot test the speed against the Z3 December 6, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great phone... but be forewarned, no Wifi calling I got my phone a couple of days ago and love it. The only reason I'm scoring it with 3 stars is not because of the phone, but because of its Wifi calling feature (or lack thereof# on T-Mobile. One of the key features listed on T-Mobile's website for the phone is its ability to use Wifi for making phone calls. After activating service, I received an error message stating that Wifi calls could not be made. When I called Technical Support to address the issue they told me that Wifi calling IS NOT currently possible with this phone and that the manufacturer is currently working on a fix, but has not provided a timeline for when that fix will be made available to T-Mobile's HTC One M8 users. Given that Wifi calling is not possible and there's no certainty on whether or when it will be possible, the current claim #and touted feature) that the phone can support Wifi calling is false. Consider yourself forewarned. December 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid solid solid... Both the phone itself and the new kitkat is so smooth and solid it just makes the phone feel so good to have. The resolution of the screen is great and the pictures seem to pop off the screen on the highest brightness setting. Phone is always in a case and has fallen a couple times and nothing was quirky or anything, even it after it fell (unlike my s3 which started to heat up very quickly after falling). Processor does heat up during extended gaming/ Gps usage but there is no lag or glitchy graphics. The call quality is fine although sometimes I wondered if it was my device or if it was the other person'. However its never been bad to the point of not actually haring the person just slightly faint in some cases. Coming from a Samsung galaxy s3 i'm more than satisfied with my device. The drawbacks are the camera and the slipperyness of the phone due to the finish which any case will fix. November 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 The perfect phone besides a mediocre rear camera This phone is almost perfect besides having a not so great rear camera. The 1080p display is one of the best in the market. Super sharp and colors are accurate. Boomsound speakers are second to non. You will be blown away by the experience. This phone is very fast and snappy and feels faster than the note 4 and lg g3. No lags or slow down. This phone is a beast. Sense 6 is great and fast. Not too much bloatware. The rear camera takes ok pictures for posting to social media but fails when you zoom in to the pictures. 4 mp is not enough. Video recording is very good. Low light pictures are pretty good. Front camera is really good. Htc build quality is fantastic. Makes the iphones look bad. Battery life is amazing. November 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5Stars, nothing more to say. I've owned this phone since its release back in the spring and I am truly amazed at how well it has handled my rigoruous apps, multi-media, and anything else I through at it. The volume was not as impressive as I had hoped for but it is noticeable loud and very crisp. Sound quality out surpasses those of most other phones I've heard. November 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great device structure This is really great phone because it is made of metal which can stand durability. I bought this phone because I like both front speaker really nice for music listening, etc. The ultrapixel camera clarity for taking photo front and back at the same time, nice. Flashlight very bright. Ease of use with blinkfeed to the left keep up with the world. Love 5 megapixel on the front. Love gesture just pick up the phone and talk for incoming. Overall this phone can stand hardship superamoled, water resistent, feel good to hold in hand because curb design. Very good processsor 32 gb. Great for gaming. November 14, 2014

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
