Rated 5 out of 5 by Now I See Why There Is An IPhone Craze! First off I'd like to just take the time to thank Apple for creating the wonderful iPhone! This phone has simplified my entire life and experience with a smart phone period. I had over the years wondered why people went so crazy over the iPhone being that my first smart phone was an android I could never get it. Now I totally, totally, totally get it! iPhone rocks hands down! Battery life superb, ease of use, speed, security, and so much more. I just cannot believe how wonderful the battery life is on this device. Full charge in the a.m. and by midnight I am still able to use my device without ever having to charge the thing throughout the day! This is unheard of with my past experience with androids. This is my very first iPhone so yeah I'm very impressed. The sales rep at the T-Mobile store tried to talk me into an iPhone 6, but I insisted on the 5s, because I didn't know if I'd like it so I didn't want to spend another $100 bucks on a device that I might not have liked. I now must say that even if I would have gotten the iPhone 6 or 6s I would've stilled been wonderfully happy with my choice simply because it's an iphone! If you have been a die hard android user for like ever and you are thinking about switching to iPhone this device is worth the try or if it's too small then get the 6 versions. I must say that I really like androids still, but I can't quite say that I will be going back to android after my experience with iPhone. I know you have droid people and iPhone people. To each his own, but I am officially declaring that I have become one of those crazed fans of the iPhone now! December 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My very first iPhone was the iPhone 5S I absolutely love the 5S phone everything works perfect I had mine for 2 years and still no problems. Probably because I take good care of my electronics. But I should of got the 32GB version cause I download games a lot and the battery life could be better it's decent though December 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Long lasting phone I got this phone almost 2 years ago and just thought about upgrading. Anyone who has told you iPhones crack easily or don't hold up are lying.. I've put this thing through the ringer (washing machine once, numerous drops on concrete, and it fell down over 20 metal stairs at work and barely got a dent). The battery life isn't the greatest but I've always got a charger near by. One complaint is that the finger print scanner is basically useless. December 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by My 1st iPhone Ever & I Love It So Far This phone is amazing, it's easy to text on, easy to use, fun to play with also, you ever be sitting @ the doctor office with your elderly grandparents then pull out old trusty. The camera is amazing + it looks cool. I'm definitely not going back to android.... Ever December 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing... until it lasts I had this iphone for 5 months. ONLY 5 MONTHS. it was an amazing phone and i had an overal experience with it. texting was easy and downloading was fast and calls were easy. However, now, it randomly broke. I'm not even kidding. I plugged it in the charger while it was playing music before i went to bed, i woke up and there was no music. i looked at my phone and it was off and i tried everything i could to turn it on. I even held the power button and home button for OVER A MINUTE. i searched things up like this online and there were similar compaints. If i were you, i would buy the iphone 6 instead of the 5s RIGHT NOW because it will save you so much money. Now, i have to get a battery replaced on my phone, which will cost tons, or get a new phone, which will also cost tons. I had the iphone 5 before having this 5s and it did the exact same thing. Do not waste your money on any FIVE related iphone including 5c, 5s, and the 5 itself. My friends all have iphone 6's or 6s and they never once had this problem. I am getting a 6 so i can have a working phone. I will not pay for an expensive battery replacement on the 5s because we all know that it will break again. December 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Phone Good phone for multiple uses and would recommend phone for any apple lover. November 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! It has great battery life, great graphics, and overall awesome! I would highly recommend this product!! It almost has the same level as the 6! November 14, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Thought it was great until I tried new Androids A really good phone that shows Apple is good at what they do best - connectivity. Compared to some other phones/tablets around my home Apple is really good at ensuring their devices will connect to stereos, car radios with USB connections, Bluetooth accessories, etc. iTunes music used to be the best game in town for purchasing, organizing and playing your music on the go. The phone also has an attractive appearance with highly polished camfers. I also like the small pocket size, perfect for running and taking to the gym. My concerns are the LTE antenna. I could never get a decent signal until I bought a 2nd phone and it streams Pandora with no problems. The battery life is short, too short for a day out sight seeing and the battery is in the red by Noon. it would be great to have widgets. November 12, 2015

To upgrade early, you’ll need to pay off your entire Equipment Installment Plan. You can do this by calling Customer Care or visiting a T-Mobile retail store.

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

    Get started

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on T-Mobile.com, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

Learn more about Premium Handset Protection

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
