    Rated 4 out of 5 by Is the iPhone for you or not? I got this phone in October 2013 and it holds up really good but the back even with a case gets very scratched up. At first the battery was awesome but in June 2014 it stared going from 100% to 83% in 3 hours in stand by mode. The app selection is great on this iPhone! On IOS 7 mainly it was snappy and fast but when I updraded it to IOS 8 I became so slow and apps stared crashing. For such a small phone for some reason the keyboard is really easy to type on. I have used the Samsung Galaxy S5 and found it was easer to type on the 5C. Call quality it not the best but it is batter the the lastest LG,Blackberry, and Samsung phones. When you turn the volum up on a call, it's really loud. The camera takes great photos in good lighting but a night and in low light and in doors, the camera teneds to take blurry photos. The screen is a bit on the small side; when the brightness is truned up to about 75% the colors Pop off the screen beautifully. The browser is a bit slow but if this is an upgrade from the iPhone 3GS, 4, or 4S it will seem fine but if you have a 5S and use the browser on the 5C it will be slow. Siri works great if you like to use her for simple things. It's a great phone it you want/need a phone mainly for texting, music and some unintensive gaming. October 1, 2014

It started having issues as soon as i updated to iOS 8 like saying the charging cable was not compatible with the device. Then it started to over heat while charging. It burned two charging cables out. Then the charging port on it shorted out. Over all this phone is not built to last. November 13, 2014

Made the switch from a galaxy mega and got the pinkish 5c, was planning on upgrading to the galaxy note 4 once it's in but I'm really digging this little iPhone. The main reason I'm writing the review is because of customer service-EXCELLENT! My hubby and I made the jump from AT&T yesterday to tmobile and it was a lengthy process but in all honesty it's because you need your acct number and pin from your cell carrier before you switch, AT&T had us on hold for 55 minutes between my husband and myself, hung up on him so I called then I was hung up on so he had to call back. Didn't give us our pin when he asked the first time but the second time they did. That's what we've always expected from them, but today I had to call tmobile customer service to fix hubby's data and was on the phone for 2 minutes before Kylie answered, she was kind and professional and promptly fixed the issue within 15 seconds. I've never had such great fast service with a cell phone company before, so so glad we made the switch! And yes I'm happy I got this phone as well! September 29, 2014
    Rated 4 out of 5 by Definitely Apple Budget Phone If your on a budget but would like an iPhone, this is the one to get. You really do get what you pay for. The only issue is with the plastic casing. It's a lot heavier than any other iPhone, and so it tends to break easier, I have broken mine twice and had to get the screen replaced. The plastic also makes it a lot slicker and slimier, and it picks up fingerprints like you would not believe. It is a lot slower than the 5/5s but that's really just because the 5c has an A6 chip instead of an A7, but if your just using your phone for everyday things it's pretty much unnoticeable.     Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

    EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

    The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

    Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

    Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

    You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

    Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
