Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not worth it. Purchased for my daughter's birthday. Kept it put up for 2 weeks for her birthday. Didn't realize it came already activated. Birthday comes around and she's super excited about her new phone. Few days later start to realize why this phone is so cheap...because it's a cheap phone. You have to strain to hear what she's saying on the phone with my phone's call volume all the way up. The volume rocker buttons on the side of the phone glitch and cause other apps to open and close and the phone powers off randomly. The phone's processing power is very slow, it lags a lot. She hasn't been able to download any apps, for whatever reason I can't tell. I called in and wanted to trade it in for the buyer's remorse to only be told that I had exceeded the 30 day daughter only had the phone for 2 weeks, but because I had kept it in the box for two weeks, that counted towards the time for buyer's remorse because the phone was activated. T-mobile wouldn't even offer me a trade in offer on the phone because it's that CHEAP! I hate this phone. My daughter wont even use the phone and I'm paying a monthly line for no reason. Now I'm back on T-mobile to buy her a new phone so she can at least have a way to contact us when she needs to. Do not buy this phone and save yourself the headache! July 10, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by So many problems with this phone 1) The camera is horrible, the pictures are blurry. My husband got the exact same phone as I did and his are unacceptable as well. I think my first phone 10 years ago took better pictures. 2) Won't answer. I have to reboot this phone about 5 times everyday otherwise it locks up and I can't answer phone calls. 3) Charging. When it does charge the charge does not last very long. Half the time I have it on the charger all night and it isn't charged. 4) Loading. When I go from screen to screen it says "loading"......what is it loading and how long do I have to wait? 5) Call Quality. The callers I speak to all sound like they are in a tin can, speaker phone makes this worse. I'm looking for a new phone today. June 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big screen, small price I've been using this phone for the two months since it was released and it's exceeded my expectations. I've had "flagship" phones in the past but this device meets my needs very well for a fraction of the cost. The screen is bright and crisp and I can read it fine while it's lying on my desk due to its decent viewing angle. It's responsive and very efficient in the way it handles notifications, messaging, email, and web browsing. The screen is large enough that it’s become my "go to" device. This phone runs the new Windows 10 Mobile very well. It has received three system updates since I've had it and is very stable. I enjoy Windows 10 for PC and this phone is a mobile extension of that experience, with many of the apps, settings, and notifications being identical between Mobile and PC. It runs older Windows Phone apps as well as new apps that were designed for Windows 10, and more apps are being released frequently. The 16 GB storage is sufficient considering that you can put music, maps, downloads and even app installations on an SD card. The screen looks a bit washed out at first but changing two defaults makes it look much better: 1) the auto brightness makes the screen a bit dim; use the shortcut button in the notification tray to increase brightness. 2) I found the default display size setting of 200% to be too large. Setting it to 175% makes everything look more crisp and natural. April 15, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by Big screen and Windows phone!! I use this screen to watch Netflix. It's a great experience. Don't regret buying this phone when it was released. Great for texting. The keyboard is amazing. February 21, 2016

In most cases, the answer is yes. The first step is to check your phone to see if it’s compatible, and to find out what SIM card it uses. Then, you’ll simply select that SIM card and a plan. Once you receive your new SIM card in the mail, you’ll be ready to go.

You may pay off the full cost of your phone (and any other devices included in your Equipment Installment Plan) early. If you do, you’ll enjoy monthly savings even sooner. To pay off your phone, you will need to call Customer Care or visit a T-Mobile retail store.

To upgrade early, you’ll need to pay off your entire Equipment Installment Plan. You can do this by calling Customer Care or visiting a T-Mobile retail store.

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on device becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on device becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) is a public safety system that enables authorized agencies to send text-like messages to consumers with capable wireless devices to alert them of emergencies in their area. Learn more about WEA and whether your device is capable of receiving alerts.
