Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst smartphone! I got this phone back in May of this year because I switched carriers and it would have taken up to five days to unlock my iPhone. In other words, I traded my iPhone in. Although the price was great and fit my budget, it was the worst mistake I ever made! It was running just fine at first but then about a week later, the phone began freezing and automatically closing on apps or when I was in the middle texting someone. The keyboard would take a long time to pop up when you want to type something. There's no flash and the camera has poor quality. Battery life is short. All in all, this phone would be good first phone for a 12 year old. But if there is one thing I have learned, never trade your iPhone in for this phone..... July 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Can't beat this for the money!! I have had my phone for approximately one week now and there's only a few things I haven't tried. I purchased it at Walmart and the price was unbelievable...especially for a smart phone. I couldn't be happier. Everything so far has been great with the exception of the camera. If you're using it for a selfie, it's rather grainy looking but if you use it the other way, it's fine. Otherwise, no complaints! July 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by It is OK* but not all that. I really like this phone, don't get me wrong. But the camera is just ok, but the front facing camera shouldn't even exist. (It's terrible) It does take nice videos though. Calls are good, texting is good, but the keyboard is a bit laggy. The phone itself is laggy. It is android, so it has some really good apps and games. Battery life isnt very good, It lasts me about two hours of non stop use maximum. Its pretty easy to use, but I would recommend the sister model of this phone instead. It is called the One Touch Fierce. If you want this phone, just pay the extra $40 for a better phone with a camera flash, a faster processor, and an overall better experience from the same manufacturer. July 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent phone but how to use camera flash? Not a bad little phone - close to a Nexus 1 used a few years back, but at about 1/10th the price. However, this very web page refers to a flash for the camera for low-light pics -- can anyone tell how to enable it? June 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst phone I have ever owned It freezes all the time, and you can't download games or too many apps because there is insufficient storage space available (even with a memory card.) June 28, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst phone ever! This is the worst phone I have ever owned. It drops nearly every call I am on. It randomly opens apps, calls people, etc. It is impossible to get apps to open or close without waiting several minutes. Photo storage is full at 108 photos and I cannot get them to upload anywhere. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. Save your money and buy a Samsung! June 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Standard Smartphone This is a great starter smartphone or a smartphone for someone looking to save on their billing each month. The phone has very good call quality and volume, especially with speaker phone. The phone's signal with respect to the available coverage is very good. My area is "Good" to "Excellent" and I almost always have max bars. The phone is a little sluggish when it comes to how fast you are typing on the keyboard. It can hang for a moment, but nothing that is as bad as quite a few reviews make it out to be. Overall it appears that people's expectations for this phone are not in line with reality. Make no mistake, this is not some Smasung Galaxy smartphone or an Apple iPhone... it is a cheap Android Smartphone for the user that wants ease of access and simplicity while having very good call and signal quality. If you want a phone that gets the job done at a great and affordable cost: this is your best bet. June 10, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Beyond garbage!!! I would rather carry one of the huge briefcase phones from the 80s than use this pile of junk. All around it is trash! Freezing, receiving all my texts at 1 time, keyboard takes 30 seconds to pop up then you start typing and it freezes some more. They keep telling me its because of an update but it was trash straight out of the box. There is no way to upgrade the firmware, it just says error. I could go on for days! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE!!!! June 4, 2014

Yes. You once your phone is paid off, it’s paid off. From that point on you will only pay be billed for the T-Mobile rate plan, and services, or features you’ve chosen.

When your new phone arrives simply follow the manufacturer’s set-up procedure and start using it. If you purchased a new T-Mobile SIM card to use in your own device, you will need to insert the new card and then you are good to go.

You can upgrade your phone at any time. If you have an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) you’ll need to pay that off first, then you’re free to select a new phone. It’s as easy as that. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

To find out if you’re eligible for a rebate or a promotion all you need to do is answer a few simple questions.

    Get started

Other carriers recover the cost of the phone with higher recurring monthly rate plan charges. Their customers continue to pay higher monthly rates even after the phone is paid off. Only T-Mobile offers a plan that automatically lowers the cost of the monthly bill when the phone is paid off.

We offer free, overnight shipping on certain new phones and devices. Otherwise, we will send your purchase using standard 2-4 business days shipping. Look for special promotions where all phones and devices include free, overnight shipping.

No. When you group phones into a family plan when purchasing on T-Mobile.com, you must either pay for all of them up front, or over time.

No. If you choose to pay over time, your payments will be interest-free.

You must purchase insurance within the first 14 days of buying a new device. To learn more about Premium Handset Protection Insurance or to learn about our other bundled features simply follow the link.

Learn more about Premium Handset Protection

If you cancel your service, you still need to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Refurbished phones offered by T-Mobile have been inspected and tested to ensure they’re in good working order, and they all come with a limited 90-day warranty. They also come with the same return policy as our new devices: 20 days from the date of your order.

Unlike other carriers that give you a discounted rate on the phone up front and then bury the costs in your monthly bill, we charge you the full retail price. In order to make payments more manageable, qualifying new and current customers can take advantage of our Equipment Installment Plan (EIP).

    Here's how phone payments work:

EIP (Equipment Installment Plan) pricing allows qualifying customers to get a new phone with an initial down payment and make monthly payments on the phone for 20 months with no interest charges. For example, if you purchased a new phone for $550 and put $150 down, you pay $20/month for 20 months, plus the low monthly cost of your Value Plan. Value Plan pricing is only available at T-Mobile.

The following restrictions apply to all EIPs:

    • Non-Value plans, T‐Mobile Monthly4G prepaid plans and certain business accounts are not eligible for EIPs.
    • Customers in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico are not eligible for EIPs.
    • The minimum required purchase for an EIP is $19.99.
    • Due to state regulations, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, West Virginia and Wyoming do not allow purchases on a 24‐month EIP.
    • If you leave T-Mobile you’re still obligated to pay off the remaining balance of the device.

Learn more about our Equipment Installment Plan

Depending on which rate plan you choose, you may also be charged an add a line fee; see rate plan for details. Taxes and shipping will also be applied to your order total.

Whether you choose to pay for your device up front today, or pay over time, you can upgrade your device at any time. If your current device has not yet been paid off, you will need to continue to make payments on the existing balance. For the well-qualified buyer, pay over time pricing will spread interest-free payments over 24 months. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on phone becomes due.

You need a credit check for a couple of reasons. First, if you are applying for an Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) it’s standard practice for us to check your credit. If you want to keep your existing phone number we need to determine if it’s eligible to be transferred.

Just like all other wireless carriers, T-Mobile has to charge enough to cover the cost of the phone. The difference is that T-Mobile separates the cost of the phone from the cost of the service. That means T-Mobile customers finish paying for their phone as soon the actual cost is paid off—and their monthly bill automatically drops.
