How much can I save under the Lifeline and Link Up programs?
The Lifeline program can save qualified T-Mobile customers up to $13.50 per month. Qualified residents of Federally Recognized Tribal Lands may receive service for as little as $1 per month. With the Link Up program, qualified T-Mobile customers activating a new line of service can save $17.50 off of the traditional $35 activation fee.
What type of Lifeline rate plan does T-Mobile offer?
T-Mobile generally offers a traditional postpaid Lifeline rate plan for $19.99 per month minus the applicable Lifeline discount that can vary by state. This Lifeline rate plan includes 145 Whenever Minutes®, 500 night minutes and 500 weekend minutes per month and $0.05 per minute overage. Additionally, T-Mobile may make various other offers available in select states. More information is available to qualified customers.
How do I qualify for Lifeline and Link Up?

Are there any additional restrictions for Lifeline and Link Up?
Yes. T-Mobile offers Lifeline and/or Link Up service in select states and only where it is designated as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier. Lifeline is a Federal benefit that is not transferable to any other person. Lifeline service is available for only one line per Household. A Household cannot receive benefits from multiple providers. A Household is defined, for purposes of the Lifeline program, as any individual or group of individuals living at the same address that share income and expenses. Violation of the one-per Household rule is not permitted under federal rules and will result in the subscribers de-enrollment from the program and possible criminal prosecution by the U.S. Government. Lifeline benefits are limited to one wireless or landline telephone number per Household. Lifeline and Link Up benefits cannot be applied to charges you incurred or paid prior to qualifying for Lifeline and Link Up assistance. Link Up is only available through T-Mobile in select states and only to customers who also reside on federally recognized tribal lands. Link Up assistance cannot be applied to customer facilities (e.g., upgrading antennas or lines on your property) or equipment, including the cost of your wireless phone. Pennsylvania Applicants: Pennsylvania consumers with unresolved disputes regarding Lifeline services may contact the Public Utility Commissions Bureau of Consumer Services at 1-800-692-7380 for assistance in resolving their issues.
Massachusetts Applicants: Consumers with concerns or disputes regarding T-Mobiles Lifeline eligibility determinations, the Lifeline discount or service offering, or equipment pricing and availability for use with T-Mobiles Lifeline service may contact the Department of Telecommunications and Cable Consumer Division at 1-800-392-6066 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance in resolving their concerns.
New Jersey Applicants: Consumers with unresolved disputes regarding Lifeline services may contact the State of New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Telecommunications Division at (800) 624-0241 for assistance in resolving their concerns.
